The Mechi poultry (Unit A) lies in Duwagadi, Mechinagar Municipality, Jhapa of Province 1. Its main objective is to produce quality fertilized eggs for hatchery. Geographically, the project site is located in 26.598694 N and 88.09125 E at an elevation of 88 meter from Mean Sea Level. The project occupies an area of 6 ha of private land owned by the proponent. The project site is approximately 7 km south of the East-West highway. The total capacity of this poultry will be 50,000 parent birds (Cobb 500 species) and produce approximately 12 million fertilized eggs per year for own proposed hatchery to be established in Duwagadi, Jhapa.
