The study has the objective to conduct participatory assessment in project sites (Banke-Bardiya complex) to identify priority communities and forest areas to help participatory planning for sustainable management of biodiversity. For the purpose, it has the scope of: i) identifying indigenous including marginal communities to provide support for their livelihood improvement through community-based natural resources management and to strengthen their abilities in biodiversity conservation; ii) identifying the critical forest areas in terms of degradation, illegal activities, susceptibility to forest fires and other natural and anthropogenic disasters; iii) recommending further interventions to enhance the level of people’s livelihood and forest management of identified forest area and communities
